Following the capital investment from their pre-seed funding round in May 2021, keeps adding new members to their growing team. The company wants to make data-driven decisions accessible for all SMB e-commerce businesses.

The goal is clear. SMB e-commerce businesses should have the same access to be able to create better customer experiences through data insights. Something that has been reserved for enterprise businesses like Zalando, Amazon, and Asos until now.

The newest addition to the team is Ali Aoun, who joins as their new Marketing Lead. He comes from a previous position as Head of Paid Media from one of the best B2B agencies in Denmark, Mindmill.

Ali joins Custimy with a plethora of experience in B2B marketing. He is looking forward to the new challenges that are waiting for him. As he joins the young company, He says:

“I see this as an incredibly exciting challenge. Custimy is still so new that we have to build a whole marketing business case from scratch. I can’t wait to get started on that. We need to prove the value of marketing. So we can what it can do both short-term and long-term.

He continues and describes what his first tasks will be: “We need to build an inbound funnel, generate leads, nurture them, and make them ready for demos and sales. The whole process, we are going to go through it. I can’t wait to get started. “

New markets

Kristoffer Degn, CCO and Co-founder is also excited by the new addition. So much, that he can not wait to get started with the whole marketing process. He is especially happy and proud that is able to attract so many big profiles and talents such as Ali. Degn looks forwards to having all this knowledge in Custimy.

This is essential for us, as we look to take on the international angle already from our very first beginning of the year.”

The ambitions are as always enormously high at With a public statement of expecting to become a unicorn within 5-7 years, they need to be high. That is why Kristoffer has big expectations for the next steps with Ali, and says:

“Ali needs to make sure we can take on new markets and strengthen our whole inbound marketing. We need to make sure we are ready for that big international push that we are looking for. Something we have already taken the first steps towards.”

The other side of the table

With his many years in the agency business, Ali is now looking to use his knowledge ‘on the other side of the table’ as he joins the software scale-up

“I was part of building up Mindmill, and now I get the opportunity to do something similar at Custimy, but this time it is in a super exciting software company. I can’t wait!”

He explains the change and what he saw in the Custimy founders that made him make the jump from agency to a B2B software business.

“When I met Kristoffer Degn and Martin Navne, the two founders of, I immediately felt that energy that they have. They are first and foremost go-getters. We need to make things happen, but they are also incredibly skilled and understand what it takes to succeed with their big goals.”
